Artemis: Spaceship Bridge Simulator is a multiplayer co-operative spaceship simulation game created by Thomas Robertson for Windows, iOS, and Android. I want to buy a bridge license, and have 5 friends over to play every weekend. But it won't be the same 5 friends! Will I encounter problems with the 6-computer.
A little while ago someone posted a link to this site. To whoever you were, I want to say thank you. Thank you so much.
For those of you unaware, Artemis is an attempt to recreate Star Trek style scenes of cooperation when running a ship. Each person operates one or two consoles, giving them responsibilities over individual aspects of a specific ship, and have to cooperate with each other in order to overcome a variety of obstacles within a map. For example, the weapons console controls torpedoes, beam weapons, targeting and beam frequencies. The helm controls movement, and the engineering console controls energy and coolant distribution throughout your ship.
I only just finished my first session of this game, and it seriously needs more exposure. It's an incredible experience, and absolutely blew me out of the water. It has plenty of issues, it's obtuse and ugly as sin, but good god was it amazing.
